Purchasing Stocks

Take out a piece of paper.  You will be holding on to this paper and turning it in at the end of the week.  Write your name, date, and period.  The title of the assignment is Stock Purchase Record.

1. Click the link: 

2. Click Sign Up. 

3. For your login name type the following.  Type (yv)(period number)(first name).

4. For the rest.

   • User your real first name. 

   • Use Villegas as your last name. 

   • Year born is the year you were born. 

   • The e-mail address is masticman@juno.com

   • The city is Riverside.

   • The state is California.

   • Click Submit.

   • 

5. Write this information on your sheet of paper that you will be turning in.

6. Click Submit

7. Click login on the next screen.

8. Login using your screen name and password.

9. Click Join a class. 

10. The class name is yvspring2008. 

11. The class password is turkey. 

12. Click Join Class.

13. Click My Stocks. 

14. This will show you your accounts.  You start with 2 accounts.  The class competition and the your own StocksQuest Account.

15. Click YVMS so you can purchase stocks in the class competition.

16. Click Buy Stocks. 

17. Fill in the Transaction information. 

18. Click Submit Order.

19. Record this purchase on your piece of paper.

21. You need to purchase stock in at least 5 different companies if there are 2 people at a computer.  If you are alone you need to purchase 10 different companies.  If you have extra time purchase more.  Do not spend more than $4,000 dollars.
