Here is the Paint.Net Learning Center for Room 49 at Villegas Middle School
Paint.Net is a great program that lets you create and edit pictures. I've arranged with the creators of the program to let you download it for free at www.getpaint.net. It will only work at home if you are using Windows XP or Windows Vista. A comparable program is called Photoshop that costs several hundred dollars. Not doll hairs but dollars. Here are the lessons.
Lesson 1
Getting Acquainted with Paint.Net
Get out a piece of paper and write your name, date, and period on it.
Click Start.
Click Programs.
Find
and click it.
Press F5 a couple of times to bring up the Tools window.

Press F7 a couple of times to bring up the Layers Window.

Press F8 a couple of times to bring up the Colors Window.

We need to find out what all the buttons do on the Tools and
Layers Window.
Look at the Tools Window.
Each tool
has a name. You will need to draw and then write down the name of each
tool. There are 22 tools so there will be 22 questions. Here is how
you get the answer.
Place your mouse on top of the tool for 5 seconds. The
name will appear. Here is what the name looks like.
The name of the tool is Rectangle
Select.
For each tool - draw the tool and then write the name of the tool.

After finish the Tools Window your need to write down and draw all the names for the buttons on the Layers Window.
When you are done show your completed paper to the teacher.
With the time left over start working with layers.
