How to play the game of Chess

The tutorial comes from www.blendernation.com.  A man from the Netherlands named Bart created the tutorial.  BlenderNation is a website that publishes news about Blender.

MAKE SURE YOU BUILD IN FRONT VIEW.

Make sure you are in edit mode.

Right Click on the top vertex. 

Press Shift S KEY.

Switch to top view with NumPad [7].

Now first select all vertices with [A].  (All vertices should be yellow)

In the Mesh Tools panel you see a button labeled 'Spin'.

Press the 'Spin' button and watch the result.

 

While still in edit mode, first select all vertices in your object with [A]. Next, press [W] to bring up the Specials menu and use the 'Remove Doubles' option to remove extra vertices.

After performing this operation, Blender reports on the amount of vertices that have been deleted. Just confirm this requester.

As a finishing touch, smooth the pawn by clicking on 'Set smooth' in the EditButtons window:

Show time! Switch to solid perspective mode by pressing [Z] and NumPad [5] and drag around with the MiddleButton to look around.
