Logging in as a Limited User
There are two different kinds of user accounts on your computer.
Administrator - this account has access to all files and can install programs.
Limited User - this account only has access to their files and cannot install program.
In this lesson I am suggesting that you create a Limited User Account and log in that way.
Here is how you create the Limited User Account.
Click Start. ![]()
Click Control Panel.
![]()
Double Click User Accounts.

Here is the next screen you will look at.

Click Create a New Account.
Give a name to the new account.

Create a Limited Account.

In my opinion you don't need a password unless you have nosy relatives that come over. I guess we all need a password because we all have nosy relatives who come over. Just kidding.
Logging in and out should be as easy as clicking the
account. The login screen will look like this.

If this is so easy why doesn't everyone do it.
If you create a new account all of your files will be left in the old account. They won't be deleted they just be in the old account.
The second issue is being able to install programs. If you want to install a program you have to logout as the Limited User and log in as the Administrator. Install programs and then log back out as the Administrator and log back in as the Limited User.
