How to Move Files from a CD to Your Computer

Sometimes a person might send you a CD with pictures or other files on it.  You may be wondering: "How do I get the pictures of the CD."  Here is the lesson of all lessons to tell you how to get files from a CD to your computer.

  1. Insert the CD into the computer.  (By the way CD stands for Compact Disk)

  2. Right Click the Start Button.

  3. Click Explore.

  4. Slide your left button all the way to the left.

  5. Slide your up and down buttons to the top.

  6. Click My Computer at the top left.

  7. Right click the Compact Disc.

  8. Click Explore.

  9. You can tell what files you are looking by looking to the window title.  It is located at the top left.

  10. Click Restore Down to change the size the window.  The window is the D: Drive.

  11. Make the Window about the half the size of the screen.

  12. Click Start.

  13. Click My Documents.

  14. Now you should have two windows open.

  15. Once you are setup with the CD Drive D: window on the left and your My Documents window on the right is a simple process of clicking and dragging the files to the My Documents Window.

When I say simple I realize it may be simple to me and but not to you at first.
