Updating your Video Driver

The video card puts video on your screen.

The video driver tells the computer how to use the video driver.

These instructions will be for putting the newest driver on your computer.

First we need to discover if your have an Intel Graphics Card.

1. Right Click on your desktop.

2. Click on Properties. 

3. Click on settings. 

4. Underneath the word display you need to see the word Intel.  If you don't see Intel you probably have a different video card.

5. Here is what mine looks like. 

6. If it doesn't say Intel this is the end of the lesson for you.

How to update an Intel Video Card.

1. Go to Internet Explorer. 

2. Go to the website http://downloadcenter.intel.com/

3. Click Run Now under the heading Automatically identify and find graphics drivers. 

4. Click Check Your System. 

5. Click at the top to install. 

6. Click Install Active X. 

7. Click Check Your System again. 

8. Click Install. 

9. Follow the direction to update the computer.
