Here are some useful links for the teacher who uses technology.

A free PDF creator.  This allows you to turn any document or picture into an Adobe PDF file.  The creator is treated just like a printer.  When you want to create a PDF file you print to the PDF creator.  It can be found at http://sector7g.wurzel6.de/pdfcreator/index_en.htm

A very good Web Browser called Firefox might interest you.  I like it more than Microsoft Internet Explorer in some ways.  It can be found at http://www.mozilla.org/products/firefox  This browser has increased in popularity in the last year.

Microsoft Office with Word, Power Point, and Excel can be expensive for some people.  I think it is a good deal at a $130 dollars for educators but even that can be too much for some people.  You can go to http://www.openoffice.org and download an office program.  This is one way the digital divide can be crossed.

I love playing with Legos.  Students have a lot of fun with them too.  The problem I find is that Legos are so small that students lose them and don't take good care of them.  http://www.ldraw.org allows you to build with Legos on the computer.  It runs well and students enjoy the program.
